Video Production in Argyll and Oban
If you need professional video production in Oban, Argyll or the West Highlands, you don't need to bring a crew up from Glasgow. We're already working in the area, covering Oban, Lorn, Lochaber and much of Argyll.
That means local knowledge, less travelling and, for shoots within our core Argyll catchment. So whether you need a corporate film, event coverage, drone footage or a stack of social content, we can get the cameras where they need to be without adding a pointless travel day to the bill.
What areas of Argyll do you cover?
We're set up to cover a wide area around Oban and the West Highlands. Our core area includes Oban, Dunbeg, Connel, Benderloch, Appin, Taynuilt, Dalmally, Loch Awe, Inveraray, Lochgilphead, Fort William, Ballachulish, Glencoe and Kinlochleven.
Fort William is around 45 miles from Oban and roughly an hour and a quarter by road. Inveraray is around 38 miles away. That's close enough for us to get there, set up, film and get home without turning a one day shoot into a major expedition.
We also travel further afield. Mull is around 50 minutes on the ferry from Oban, while Lismore, Coll, Tiree, Islay and the Ardnamurchan peninsula can all be covered too. For ferry travel or longer trips, we'll simply discuss the logistics and costs when we quote.
We regularly travel through the Great Glen too, so if you've got a shoot in Inverness that can be grouped with another job, get in touch. We can often make the travel costs competitive, but we're not going to pretend Inverness is next door.
Do you charge for travel?
For shoots within our core Argyll area, no.
Being based in the area means we can do things that aren't particularly economical for a production company travelling up from Glasgow. We can recce a location properly before the shoot rather than arriving on the morning and hoping for the best. We can take on shorter half day jobs. And if the weather decides to do what Scottish weather does best, we have much more flexibility around rescheduling.
We move quickly.

Corporate and brand films
We produce professional corporate video for businesses and organisations across Argyll, from straightforward interviews and internal communications to full brand films and campaign content.
If you've got something complicated to explain, a product to launch or a story that needs telling properly, we'll help you turn it into something people actually want to watch. Our corporate video production covers everything from concept and scripting through to filming, editing and delivery.
Event and conference filming
Events are expensive. Letting all that content disappear when everyone goes home seems like a waste.
We can film conferences, away days, presentations, networking events, launches and other corporate events, capturing the moments, interviews and atmosphere you can use long after the event itself is finished.
A couple of days of event filming can give you content for months, from a polished highlights film to social clips, interviews and promotional edits.
Explainer and campaign video
Sometimes you need to explain something. Sometimes you need to sell something. Sometimes you need to get people to care about something.
We make explainer videos, campaign films, promotional content, product videos and social content designed around what you're trying to achieve. We can also batch film content so one shoot gives you enough material for multiple channels and campaigns
Which industries do you work with in Argyll?
Argyll isn't short of interesting businesses. It's also home to some industries that have very specific communication and content needs.
The marine science community around Dunstaffnage, including organisations such as SAMS, needs to communicate complex research clearly to funders, stakeholders, policymakers and the public.
Aquaculture and salmon farming are major parts of the local economy, with businesses needing recruitment films, stakeholder communications, sustainability content and brand video.
Then there's food and drink. Oban Distillery is right on our doorstep, while the wider region has a strong collection of distillers, producers and hospitality businesses. We've already worked with organisations including The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and The Artisanal Spirits Company, so we know how to make premium products look the part.
Oban's position as a major ferry hub also creates opportunities for marine, ferry and tourism operators. Add hotels, visitor attractions, estates, wedding venues and event spaces and there are plenty of reasons to have a camera crew in the area.
Can you film in remote or difficult locations?
Yes.
We can take the production to your site rather than expecting you to bring everything into a studio. We've filmed in demanding locations before and we're comfortable working around difficult access, changing conditions and the practical realities of filming outside.
We're also Civil Aviation Authority licensed drone pilots, with professional drone equipment and the insurance required for commercial operations. That means we can capture aerial footage that adds genuine value to a film, rather than simply sticking a drone shot in because we've got one.
For locations on private estates, protected ground or areas where specific permissions are required, we'll deal with the practicalities before the shoot. And if the weather isn't playing ball, we'll be honest about it and work out the best option.
If you're planning something further into the Highlands, we're also building out dedicated coverage for the wider region.
